This exciting day trip commences at 06:00 with our bus departing Antalya. The journey will take about 3 hours; we stop for Breakfast in the town of Korkuteli. On arrival in Pamukkale ( Eng. "Cotton castle") you will visit the open-air Museum of the ancient Greek city of Hieropolis, dating from the 2nd century BC; enjoy the famous white travertines located on the mountainside, and swim in the renowned ‘Cleopatra's Pool’ filled with thermal water.
Ancient Hieropolis is known for the burial of St. Philip of Bethsaida, one of the 12 apostles of Jesus Christ - the city played a major role in the spread of Christianity. Beautifully situated, the city affords commanding views over the landscape. Cleopatra’s Pool offers a separate pleasure! Swimming in the pool of Cleopatra, surrounded by Roman columns is delightful. Filled with warm (above 36C) pure mineral water, it is useful for diseases of the heart and blood vessels, musculoskeletal system, etc. Entrance and swimming in the pool is paid separately
Visually stunning and very bright; Pamukkale’s travertines are internationally renowned: thus, on stepping in or out of the shallow pools you will meet smiling tourists from all over the World. Enjoy the interaction!
