We start our Adana city tour after a short breakfast break with the information and explanations of our guide, by getting into our vehicle waiting for us at Adana Airport. First we see the Great Clock Tower made of cut stones. The clock tower, which is 32 meters long, started to be built in 1881, when Ziya Pasha was in office, and was completed the next year, when Abidin Pasha was on duty. When it was first built, it aimed to inform the public about the time by making a sound that could be heard everywhere at the beginning of the hour. . Built on very solid foundations, the tower managed to remain intact despite all the destruction in the Adana earthquake in 1998. Sabancı Central Mosque, which is the largest mosque in the Balkans and the Middle East and was built with the joint work of the Turkish Religious Foundation and the Sabancı Foundation, is one of the most visited spots in the region. The construction of the mosque, whose property rights belong to the Adana Religious Affairs Foundation, started in 1998 and was put into service after 10 years of work. This mosque, which has become the symbolic structure of Adana, has a total of 6 minarets. After seeing this mosque, which has a height that can be seen from anywhere, we see the Stone Bridge, formerly known as the Justinianus Bridge, which divides the city into two on the Adana Seyhan River.
